Ocala National Forest vs Mount Kalaga

Ocala National Forest covers several hundred thousand acres of north central Florida and is the oldest national forest east of the Mississippi. It is a world away from the beaches: tall pines, sand pine scrub and palmetto, crossed by long, sandy forest roads, with springs and lakes tucked inside and hunting seasons through the year.

Mount Kalaga National Park is Rockstar's version of north Florida's wild country, under the tagline “Wild, Wild Country”. The screenshot shows two hunters in orange vests moving through exactly this kind of forest: straight pine trunks, long grass and dappled light, with no road or building in sight.

The difference is height. North Florida is mostly flat, while Mount Kalaga has a mountain, canyons and river gorges. Fans tie those features to places further north, such as Providence Canyon in Georgia and the Suwannee River, so think of Kalaga as Florida's pine woods with the hills of its neighbours added.
