Is GTA 6 based on Florida?
GTA 6 is set in Leonida, Rockstar's fictional state, and its trailers are full of places that look like Florida: Miami's Art Deco hotels and neon in Vice City, the long bridges of the Keys, airboats in the swamps and a huge lake in the farmland. Rockstar has not named the real places it drew on, so every match here is a comparison made by players.
Which city is Vice City based on?
Vice City is Rockstar's version of Miami, as it was in the original Grand Theft Auto: Vice City in 2002. In GTA 6, fans have matched districts like Ocean Beach, Little Cuba and Stockyard to South Beach, Little Havana and Wynwood.
Where do the photos come from?
Every real-world photo comes from Wikimedia Commons under a free licence, and its photographer and licence are credited under the slider. Every game image is an official GTA 6 screenshot published by Rockstar Games. We never use leaked material.
Will you add more comparisons after launch?
Yes. When GTA 6 comes out on 19 November 2026 we will add in-game shots taken from the same spots as the real photos, and new comparisons for places that only appear in the full game.
