How Vice Beach compares with the real Miami Beach
Miami Beach is the barrier island across Biscayne Bay from the mainland, and its southern end holds the Miami Beach Architectural District, the biggest collection of Art Deco buildings in the world. Pastel and white hotels from the 1930s and 1940s line Ocean Drive and Collins Avenue, with newer condo towers rising behind them.
Rockstar has not captioned its screenshots with district names, but this rooftop view over Vice City's beach side captures the same blend: white, rounded mid-rise blocks, palms filling every gap, a canal, and taller towers stepping up towards the skyline. Down at street level, the neon-lined hotels of Ocean Beach and the Ocean View Hotel fill in the Art Deco side of the island.
What Rockstar adds is clutter and life. A basketball court, pools on the rooftops and buses in the street make Vice Beach feel like somewhere people live, not just a postcard. The proportions are also squeezed, so the beach, the canal and the downtown skyline all fit in one frame.
Community matchRockstar has not said which real places it based Vice Beach on. This match comes from The Games Wiki (GTA 6), and the photos show the same kind of view rather than the exact same spot. Every word above is our own.
