How Sahara Arena compares with the real Kaseya Center
The Kaseya Center is the home of the Miami Heat. It opened on Biscayne Boulevard in 1999 as the American Airlines Arena, which is the name it still had when the photo above was taken, and it sits right on Biscayne Bay with Bayside Marketplace and its observation wheel next door.
Rockstar's night shot of downtown Vice City puts an arena in exactly that spot in the city's layout: on the water, lit up after dark, with a big observation wheel beside it and a wall of residential towers behind. Fans picked up on it straight away, and the arena has been known as Sahara Arena since the name was spotted in the trailers.
Rockstar has not copied the building itself. The Kaseya Center is a smooth white bowl, while Sahara Arena has a faceted, angular roof picked out with lines of light. The neighbourhood around it, though, from the marina to the wheel, reads as downtown Miami from the first glance.
Community matchRockstar has not said which real places it based Sahara Arena on. This match comes from Dexerto GTA 6 wiki, and the photos show the same kind of view rather than the exact same spot. Every word above is our own.
