Ocean Beach at Sunrise GTA 6 photo spot
Vice City's barrier-island beach faces the open Atlantic, so the sun comes up straight out of the sea behind the lifeguard huts.
Ocean Beach is the white-sand strip Rockstar brought back from the original Vice City, and because it sits on the east side of the barrier island there is nothing between the shoreline and the sunrise. Early morning is also when the beach is at its emptiest, which makes clean shots far easier than in the middle of the day.
Shoot from the sand looking east for the classic sun-over-water frame, or turn around and catch the first light hitting the art deco hotels along the front. Both work best in the few minutes before the sun clears the horizon.
Shot ideas
- Get low to the sand so the surf fills the bottom of the frame.
- Turn west a few minutes after sunrise for pink light on the hotel fronts.
- A lifeguard hut or palm on one side of the frame gives the sky scale.
