Journal FAQ
How does the field journal work?
Mark an animal as studied on any animal page or in the list here, and it is logged in the region it lives in. Change the region to where you actually found it, add notes, track the animals you are still looking for, and log any species we have not added yet by name.
Does it match the in-game checklist?
It follows the same idea: one entry per species you study. On launch day we add every species in the game's checklist, so your journal and the game line up.
Can I move my journal to another device?
Yes. Use Back up journal to save a small file, then Restore on the other device. Restoring merges with what is already there, so it never deletes anything.
